Oftentimes we focus so much on the unknown it's hard to see where the blessings lie. We want God to do what WE want and when we want it. We want our blessings to look like what we want them to look like instead of surrendering control. Then we find ourselves blaming God and believing that our prayers have not been answered. Do you remember when God did answer a prayer? And God gave you EXACTLY, if not even BETTER, than what you asked for. So if God can give you exactly what you wanted then, why can't he make that happen again? The answer is, He CAN and He WILL, on HIS divine timing. You just have to be patient enough to wait and see. You have to be diligent enough to live in the unknown space until the right time for your blessing to come into fruition; and until that seed is ready to sprout, there is nothing humanly possible that can be done.
Living in that unknown space isn’t fun, to be honest, it's actually quite draining. To know that you’ve done all that you can, yet you still don’t have all that you want, but knowing that God has given you all that you need (even if it doesn't feel like it). Just know that God is a way maker, and in due time the right path will be carved. Your blessing will fall upon you so smooth you won't even believe that your time is now, and your blessings are here!
Currently in life, I feel like God put me in a place where I feel like I am stagnant. I have sowed seeds and I am waiting for my garden to bloom. Does it mean that I actually am? No, it just means that I am where I need to be and now internal work needs to be done. Either spiritually, mentally, emotionally, whatever the lesson may be, by continuing to live in the present moment and not think of a better future or wishing I had the fun times of my past, I can appreciate the lessons being taught to me. Do I like these lessons? Heck no! But if I plan to be the woman God has called me to be, I need to do the work. Even the parts that seem stupid or boring or unnecessary, God knows exactly what I need to prep me for the Land of Milk and Honey.
Don’t rush the process, TRUST the process.
I want to bask in the land of milk and honey. Drink from its sweet banks and lie in its plush grass. I want to forever seek God for guidance and peace. I want to love with my whole heart and experience life to the fullest blessings it has to offer, the good, the bad, and the ugly. And because that is my desire, I will wait for the promised land.
You aren’t alone in the wait. You aren’t alone on the journey. We are all experiencing life at different speeds and different moments.
We are all in different places and different journeys in our path, but what a beautiful thing that our paths can align. To pick up a few fellow soldiers on the path and also walk with them. Let’s lift each other up in this season of uncertainty and throughout this journey of life. Let's join hands and embark on the adventure, to Land of Milk and Honey!
