Action & Attraction!

The theme of this week has been rough. Lots of enlightenment, lots of death. Death to my old self and my old ways. Crazy enough, you think you’re healed and whole, only to realize there is still more work to do. There is always more work to do, in this life, you will not stop working, changing, and evolving. That's the beauty of it all. I am better today than I was yesterday.

When you are trying to make a change in your life, your outside world mirrors the internal work you have done/ are doing. Trying to control your temper? You will find yourself in situations that test you. The only way you can get better at something is by practice. God has a funny way of putting you in real-life situations to exercise the change you are trying to instill. Only then you will know just how changed you are. The people placed in your path may be there to challenge you to better yourself. Although they may trigger old wounds, they are not there to harm you, but rather to test the growth in you. To help you practice those skills you've been working on. Iron sharpens iron. You can’t be your best self if you stay in those comfortable scenarios that don’t challenge your own personal growth.

Attract, don't chase. Just be, and what is yours will come. I never fully understood what chasing meant. Ever stick around in a relationship you can see is dead, but you are holding on to that thread of hope? Ever not say something out of fear that the person won't understand/will leave you? Ever take less than what you deserve because of the unknown? That is chasing. Staying in something and putting your energy into something that no longer serves you; instead, attract. What is for you will not leave you. No matter what it looks like, what is meant for you is built to last. As you grow and evolve as a person, you will find people in your path who mirror who you are in your present state. Appreciate that, they will be a testimony of your growth.

During that season of testing, remember, do not expel your energy on what no longer serves you. It is time to practice those healthy habits you have been working on, and remind yourself this is something you have already overcome and you are equipped with the tools and knowledge to not revert back to those old ways. Keep shining Rosebuds!
